About Mahler Machining

For over 40 years Mahler Machining has been providing high-precision components for BC and international customers. No two days will be the same given our company's focus on low-medium volume, high complexity work from a variety of industries including deep sea submergence, aerospace, alternative energy, medical, and manufacturing OEMs. Our climate controlled 20,000-square-foot facility in Coquitlam BC and is equipped with 20 CNC machines including a mix of 3, 4 and 5-axis vertical mills, lathes, and 7-axis mill turns. Quality is central to everything we do – we’re ISO 9001 and AS9100 aerospace certified with a full quality control department consisting of two CMM's and two full-time inspectors. Come join our growing team of 45+ team members across three shifts.

Just as importantly, culture matters here. We value respect, teamwork, ownership, hustle, personal growth and doing things right. We’re serious about our work but we also look out for one another. Our Core Values

Respect: We are honest, communicate transparently, and operate with integrity in all our interactionswith our customers, suppliers, within our community and within our team.
  •  We communicate and treat each other with respect even when things go wrong.
  • We let clients know weeks in advance if an order is going to be late. Communication starts on the floor.
Ownership: We act like owners, taking full accountability for our actions. Aligned with our company’s goals, we move quickly and decisively for the success of our customers and our team.
  • If we leave on vacation, we make sure whoever is covering our work will be successful.
  • If we see a problem, even as simple as a rag on the floor, we don’t wait for someone else to solve it, we pick the rag up. We do not walk past problems.
Humility: We ask questions because no one in advanced manufacturing has all the answers. We believe there is always something to learn from our customers, partners, and each other.
  • We ask questions if we don’t understand a machining process or technique before starting the work.
  • We are hungry for knowledge and ask questions of our tooling suppliers and vendors (eg. Westcam/Mazak)
Growth Mindset: We see problems as learning opportunities, approaching them with innovation and optimism. Every day, we commit to getting 1% better - personally, professionally, and as a company.
  • When mistakes happen we communicate & own them (NCR, scrap, broken tool, damaged machine) so as a team we can all learn and avoid making the same mistake twice. We win or we learn, we never lose.
  • We are constantly looking to improve our processes to get a little better every day, be it refining a machining process on a setup sheet or reorganizing a cabinet drawer so contents can be located faster.
Excellence: As passionate professionals, we take pride in going the extra mile for our customerswhere it counts and for each other. Focused on data and results, we continually raise the bar for ourselves.
  •  We deliver parts that live up to the “Mahler Reputation”, all the way through to packaging parts with care.
  • We make sure setups are done and work instructions are clear before handing a part off to the next shift.
Team First: We win together. By treating each other’s safety as paramount, sharing knowledge freely, and fostering camaraderie along with strong communication, we achieve our goals as one.
  • If we see a teammate doing something inefficient, we do something, we help our teammate out.
  • If we see a teammate doing something unsafe we stop them and show them how to do it safely.
  • If a job is running behind we come together to deliver on time for the customer by helping each other, working through a break, or coming in early or staying late.
Hustle: We act with a sense of urgency and are efficient in everything we do because speed is key todelivering on time and central to being a cost competitive supply chain partner for our customers.
  • We proactively think ahead to the next job to start programming or collecting tools before its GO time.
  • We put our hands up to get the next job if we have cycle time but aren’t clear yet on the next job.
